MIT preserves 1963 architectural photographs of Paul Rudolph's IBM East Fishkill building — period imagery from the campus's early semiconductor years.

Why it matters

IBM's East Fishkill campus helped make the Hudson Valley a center of semiconductor manufacturing. Rita's 1969 entry likely belongs to a later construction phase within that immense research-and-production landscape, not automatically to the famous earlier Eero Saarinen/Rudolph buildings. The unresolved phase is part of the story: one campus could evolve for decades as chip technology changed, and its industrial buildings now continue under new owners including onsemi.
