“United Hospital — 1978”
The exact project or site has not yet been identified.
United Hospital opened in Port Chester in 1914 and served the community for more than ninety years before closing in 2005. After nearly two decades of vacancy, the old hospital was demolished in 2023; the 15.5-acre hillside site is now planned as a mixed-use neighborhood with housing, senior living, a hotel and shops. Joseph's 1978 work belongs somewhere in the hospital's active years, but its exact phase remains unresolved.
