“Valley Hospital — 1972”
The Bergen Wing broke ground in April 1972. Valley moved acute-care patients to Paramus in April 2024, but the Ridgewood campus remains in use for outpatient and community care.
Joseph’s 1972 entry falls at the start of the Bergen Wing expansion, and the original hospital campus remains visible in Valley Health’s Ridgewood facilities.

Acute-care hospital moved / Ridgewood campus repurposed
Valley Health System – Ridgewood Campus continues to provide endoscopy, imaging, breast care, laboratory, recovery/wellness and other services. In 2025 Valley added outpatient rehabilitation, sleep services, pain management, physical medicine/rehabilitation and a family care center in renovated space.
