“Burke Foundation — 1971”
The exact project or site has not yet been identified.
The institutional story is rich, but this is exactly where the final archive should be transparent about an unknown building phase. Burke's original 61-acre campus was designed by McKim, Mead & White as 12 neoclassical buildings linked by colonnades. It treated about 2,000 sailors as 'Burke's Navy' in World War I, then built a modern 150-bed rehabilitation hospital in the early 1970s.
