The Doctors' Office Building opened in 1968; contract and finance files span the period including Joseph's 1967 work year.
Columbia-Presbyterian's records call this the Doctors Office Building, the project that became the Herbert Irving Pavilion. Construction began in 1966 and the building opened at the end of the decade, matching Rita's date and surviving contract files unusually well. It shows how the archive can turn a familiar hospital name into a specific building episode, while the pavilion's continued medical use gives the work a living afterlife.
