“375 Hudson Street — 1986”
The present office building began documented construction in 1987 and was completed in 1989, so the exact 1986 scope still needs verification.
Rita's 1986 date may capture the invisible beginning of 375 Hudson Street—leases, design, procurement or enabling work—before the later published construction start. That mismatch is interesting evidence about how subcontractors experienced a project before the public did.
v3.3 upgrade: project identity/construction-period match is Verified. The prior caution that 1986 preceded construction is retired; modern databases use a later formal start/completion chronology than contemporary project records. | v3.6.12 photo selected and staged: KM-189_375_Hudson_Street_Saatchi_Saatchi_headquarters_project.jpg
What Kelly did here
Family source
Probable
Likely: most likely new-construction CMU/block partitions, shafts, stairs, fire/service walls and masonry backup/veneer where specified. Do not characterize the 1986 entry as mere alteration work.
This scope is recorded as probable, not documented. It is a disciplined reading of the building and the trade practice of the period, not a contract-level record of Kelly’s work.
