Irving Trust Operations Center — 101 Barclay Street
Rita's 'Irving Trust Company - Wall Street — 1982' most likely refers to Irving Trust's new Operations Center at 101 Barclay Street rather than the older 1 Wall Street headquarters. The 1981 Architectural Record feature gives the actual project team—Rockefeller Center Development Corporation, SOM, Jaros Baum & Bolles and Turner Construction—and documents the all-glass exterior. That makes this a focused Turner/SOM subcontract search for concealed CMU/core/service masonry, not a 1 Wall Street alteration story.

“Irving Trust Company - Wall Street — 1982”
Architectural Record's 1981 project feature establishes the new 101 Barclay Operations Center team and envelope; Rita's 1982 date falls inside the active construction period.
A major late-modern bank operations center whose all-glass exterior sharply narrows Kelly's most plausible work to concealed CMU, core and service masonry.
What Kelly did here
Family source
Strong
Most likely concealed CMU/block masonry: elevator/stair/service shafts, mechanical/electrical rooms, fire-rated partitions, interior backup or below-grade/service masonry. The exterior curtain wall was entirely glass panels, so Kelly should not be associated with a visible brick/stone façade absent separate evidence.
This scope is recorded as strong, not documented. It is a disciplined reading of the building and the trade practice of the period, not a contract-level record of Kelly’s work.
