7 Hanover Square (now 100 Pearl Street / 50 Water Street complex)
Joseph helped build a 1982 red-brick office tower on a block where archaeology uncovered colonial and early Federal New York—including property once associated with Captain William Kidd.

“7 Hanover Square — 1982”
LPC preserves a multi-volume archaeological study of the Seven Hanover Square block, plus a mortar analysis of foundation ruins found during development.
A rare chance to tell masonry history vertically: colonial foundation ruins below, Joseph-era red brick above, and a 21st-century office transformation layered onto both.
What Kelly did here
Corroborated
Strong
Very likely the red-brick exterior masonry/turret wall package plus CMU backup and interior service masonry; limestone-like lintels may have been a separate specialty component.
This scope is recorded as strong, not documented. It is a disciplined reading of the building and the trade practice of the period, not a contract-level record of Kelly’s work.
Robert Massina, principal/president of Kelly Masonry, lists 7 Hanover Square among Kelly projects in his professional profile. This is company-affiliated retrospective corroboration, not a period subcontract.

What happened to it
Still standing / extensively transformed
The former 7 Hanover Square now operates primarily as 100 Pearl Street / 50 Water Street after a major renovation that added new lobbies, infrastructure, retail expansion and rooftop/penthouse space. NYC Health + Hospitals is a major tenant; new retail/amenity tenants continue to open. NYC continues to treat the building's publicly accessible indoor POPS as part of Lower Manhattan's public-space network.
